NECON Winter Series Race 5 offers two distances of 5 and 10 km on officially measured courses through Brusdalen, with turnaround points at 2.5 and 5 km before returning to the start/finish. The 5 km distance also has a category for recreational runners without timing. There is usually little traffic on Gamle Brusdals veg on Sundays, but be aware of possible cars at the Hageland exit (Viddal's nursery), and feel free to wear reflective or brightly colored running clothes for visibility.
Highlights
- There were again a lot of people at Fana Stadium on Monday evening, with 515 finishers in the 5 km and 247 finishers in the double distance.
- The running conditions were good, even though it occasionally got windy in exposed areas of the course.
- In the 5 km, Markus Galleberg (17:27) and Eli Anne Dvergsdal (17:56) were the best, while the victory in the 10 km went to Andre Lenningsvik (35:40) and Renate Galleberg (38:19).
